Luke Mayernik is an award-winning composer, improviser, organist, and a graduate of The San Francisco Conservatory of Music and Seton Hill University. Composition studies with David Garner and David Conte. Organ studies with Rodney Gehrke, Edgar Highberger, and Ann Labounsky.
International prizes in improvisation and composition: NCOI (2004); Awarded the AGO Associate certificate (2004); RCCO (2008); CROPATRIA (2012–2013); University of Michigan International Organ Improvisation Competition (2014); Choral Composer Competition - Preveza, Greece (2022).
In 2024, Luke had the winning entry in the 2023 VOCES8 Composition Competition.
Luke's music is published with Voces8 Publishing, Universal Music, E. C. Schirmer Music Company, MorningStar Music Publishers, Walton Music, Hal Leonard, and many others.
Original compositions published with E.C. Schirmer, Hal Leonard, Walton Music, Graphite Publishing, OCP, H.T. Fitzsimons, and many others. This August (2017), Luke begins study towards the Doctor of Musical Arts degree at UT Austin.
