Michael Ching

Michael Ching's BUOSO'S GHOST, published by E. C. Schirmer Music Company, has been performed at Florida Grand Opera, Detroit Opera, and OperaDelaware. Additional university productions include Montclair State University and California State University at Fullerton. Michael's 2013 opera, SPEED DATING TONIGHT has been performed over 120 times since its premiere at the Janiec Opera at the Brevard Music Festival. E. C. Schirmer Music has recently published Michael's ARRANGEMENT'S AND DERANGEMENTS OF SCHUBERT, commissioned by the ARK Trio and recorded on Navona Records. Michael's other operatic projects include, COMPLETING THE PICTURE, DINNER 4 3 (with librettist Deborah Brevoort), EIGHT WOODS AND A VAN, ANNA HUNTER, ALICE RYLEY, BIRTHDAY CLOWN, ROYAL FEAST, RSBE, and THRIVERS. Michael is also the opera and art song consultant at E. C. Schirmer Music. He is on the board of directors of the National Opera Association and for eighteen years was Artistic Director of Opera Memphis.
