Emily Lund

Emily Kroese Lund was born in Hull, Iowa. She attended Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa, where she majored in elementary education. After teaching elementary school for several years, she married James Lund in 1997. Benefiting from a childhood rich in music, she began composing in 2000, focusing on sacred choral and children's music, as well as sacred piano arrangements. She fondly recalls the hours spent listening to the rehearsals of the Kroese Quartet, in which her father sang bass. She credits her parents for their loving dedication to their children's cognitive, emotional, spiritual, and musical development. Emily has published sacred choral anthems and piano arrangements with Hope Publishing, MorningStar Music Publishers, Adoro Music Publishing, and the Choristers Guild. She now lives in California with her husband and three children. She is a member of Escondido United Reformed Church where she serves as a pianist and organist.
