Richard Frost

Richard Frost did his undergraduate work at St. Olaf College, Northfield, MN, where he studied under Kenneth Jennings, graduating in 1966 with a B.A. in Music Ed. He received a Master of Arts degree in 1968 in Choral Music from the University of Iowa, studying with Daniel Moe. He taught music and conducted choral programs at the high school level for three years before moving from Minnesota to Coeur d'Alene, ID, where he conducted the choral program and taught Music Theory at North Idaho College for seventeen years from 1971-1988. The North Idaho College Choir was selected to perform at the 1984 Northwest ACDA Convention in Portland, OR. He and his family moved from Idaho to Pennsylvania in 1988 where he was the Pastor of Worship and Music at Church of the Saviour, Wayne, PA from 1988-98. In 2000 he joined the faculty of the music department at Eastern University, St. Davids, PA, recently retiring in May 2014. His responsibilities at Eastern were conducting the University Choir, teaching Choral Conducting, Musicianship, Introduction to Composition and the Church Music Program. He and his wife have four adult children and six grandchildren and have lived in Wayne, PA since 1988.
