Bob Burroughs
b. 1937
Bob Burroughs is known as a composer and arranger of church music - choral & handbells. He has been active in church music for 60 years, having served as Minister of Music in both full time and part time situations, as well as serving on the music faculty of Samford University and Palm Beach Atlantic University- as Composer-in-Residence and Associate Professor of Theory and Composition. He was, for eight years, Director of the Church Music Department, Florida Baptist Convention, Jacksonville, FL. He now lives in Greer, South Carolina. Bob and his wife of 62 years, Esther, are retired and ‘loving more - doing less.’ His days are spent walking, serving in his church and community, and of course, composing.
